Re: No relief for car sector I noticed Gillard Auto has closed their doors completely. Same with that VW dealer by Rivonia offramp, there weren't even there for a year!

Re: No relief for car sector Talking to dealer friend this morning, there is a major shortage of decent second hand stock in the market place at the moment, well DBN anyway.
Dealers have money in the bank, but sparse stock to buy for their show room floors. These guys are very wary of auction stock with its unknown vehicle issues, etc.

When the rand went for a ball of shit, car prices went up big time. When the rand strengthened, the prices still went up. Bunch of greedy clowns if you ask me.

Rumours in the trade - don't know who true that is though.

Did not know this sector was so big
