Standstill to just on 300. Genuinely staggered at the pace of the big, lardy auto Merc. Outrunning the take-no-prisoners 670hp ultimate Lambo is impressive. Didn't realise it had that kind of pace.

I didn't know the merc is classified as a hypercar together with the Veyron and that the Murci is only a supercar.

I love the fact that the cops closed down the streets for this! I must have been quite a spectacular sound in those streets! 8-)

The SLR was sadly never truly appreciated for what it was. A Normal Mercedes with all the mod cons and the ability to basically to be farking quick, straight line or corners.

Perhaps from the Lambo but not from the Merc..
Slr,s were testing here at Kyalami some years back and we were fortunate enough to be shaking down the Alfa Gta`s on the same day..SLR`s sound like a Sizu or Mack Truck Racer from a few years back ! Could not believe how dull and dreary they actually sounded..Disappointing to say the least.

They do sound lazy yeah, but like JC says, they remind him of the sound a Spitfire makes. And it does. So it doesn't sound to bad at full blast, but cannot compete with that Lambo's sound!!

Im still not sure about that. The one's i have been in (all of 2) have been LOUD, and then the ones i have heard coming past me were not quite either. S/C is louder than the exhaust though.

Lambo please. Hammond summed it up nicely, when you sit in a super / hypercar, you have to feel 12 years old. The McMerc just doesn't do that for me. But I'd still take the Zonda over those 2.

Fuck that. I'll take the faster, better handling, better braking one.

Which happens to be the Merc. Oddly enough. Even if the Lambo is so much more exciting it's just not funny. Cheaper too. Oddly enough.

Oddly i agree. Yes they are for most of us fantasy cars just the Lambo is more a piece of audio and visual art, if the normal version is a pig to drive i don't want to think what is this, and what is the point of a fantacy car that you can only use in a fantasy world with no wet roads, and odd angle junctions if a 1.7ton Mercedes will monster you badly off the lights and around most tracks unless you have car control of Walther Rhol?

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/Enzo ... _67037.htm That was a normal SLR vs a Normal Murci. Only thing faster at that time was a ezno another car i would not want to own, not with stuff like Zondas flying around.
